The villas of Praia do Estoril are located in a privileged area of Sal-Rei, on the island of Boavista in Cape Verde. They have an exceptional location due to their close proximity to the city center - just a few minutes walk away - and to the direct contact with the magnificent sand and sand dunes of Estoril Beach.

The 18 villas of the first phase of the development operate as a small housing complex and are embedded in a system of tents that connect the houses directly to Sal Rei's promenade and the beach.
The villas of different typologies, of two and three rooms, have the characteristics of patio houses. The walls surrounding the patios allow you to simultaneously create an intimate environment and privacy inside, as well as protection against the winds and sands of the beach.

The villas have two floors. On the ground floor are the common areas, living room and a kitchen in a large space. The rooms, depending on the typology, open directly to one or two porches allowing for creation of a connective relationship between the interior and exterior of the house.

The frame system and the large span allow almost total opening in order to reinforce this relationship. The porch along the entire length of the house is a shaded area and outside stay and protects the interior of the house from direct sunlight from the sun rays and occasional rain.

On the upper floor is the private area of the house with the bedrooms and two toilets. Both rooms and toilets open directly onto a balcony, protected from the direct sun, from which one has a relationship with the surroundings and the sea.

The main courtyard of the house has a landscaped garden with native plants, reduced maintenance and a swimming pool.

The finishes of the houses are simple and of great informality. The floors are in screed, walls and ceilings are plastered and painted white and the window frames are matt lacquered aluminum.

The entire construction system was designed in a way to create a calm and relaxed atmosphere, in line with the character of a typical beach house.
